There is a Wonderful Tale that could be told about the history of the Three Pabos Rivers. In fact, a historian would find the glorious period from 1880 to 1950 fascinating. Time was when as many as 1500 Salmon would regularly swim upstream in each River, astonishing indeed! However, in less than half a Century, a whole series of factors managed to almost completely annihilate the Return of Salmo...In 1984, exhausted, the Pabos Rivers were closed. How could such beautiful streams of crystal-clear Waters, so honourable in the past, not be revived? So here we are...while we can rightfully claim that the Salmon rivers of Québec and the Gaspé are among the most beautiful on the planet, I believe the group of Volunteers workingfor the Regroupement pour la restauration des Trois Rivières Pabos, after 8 years of Tremendous Efforts, can in all modesty be proud to now offer to anglers throughout the world...Three new, Superb Salmon Rivers...Three Rivers with a Legendary Past...
